Public Grievance Redressal Camp in Coimbatore: 64 Petitions Resolved Amicably

A public grievance redressal meeting was held at the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police's office on October 9, addressing 80 petitions with 64 resolved amicably.


Coimbatore: A public grievance redressal meeting was held today (October 9) at the office of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, chaired by Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan.

During the meeting, 80 petitions were examined and re-examined. Of these, one petition resulted in the registration of a First Information Report (FIR). Notably, 64 petitions were resolved amicably, while 15 petitions were recommended for further investigation.

The grievance redressal camp provided an opportunity for the public to directly present their concerns to the police officials. The high number of amicably resolved cases highlights the effectiveness of such public-oriented initiatives in addressing citizens' issues promptly and efficiently.

This camp is part of the ongoing efforts by the Coimbatore Police to maintain a strong connection with the community and ensure that public grievances are heard and addressed in a timely manner.
