Rotary Club Governor Honors Kerala Business Leader for Transformative Farming Initiative

Rotary Club of Coimbatore's District Governor awards Dr. Vishwanath of Athachi Group for transforming 20 acres of arid land in Palakkad into a biodiverse agroforest farm using nature-centric farming techniques.

Coimbatore: Rtn. AKS Adv. N Sundaravadivelu, District Governor of Rotary Club of Coimbatore, has conferred the Award of Excellence upon Dr. Vishwanath of Athachi Group for his innovative nature-centric farming techniques. The award recognizes Dr. Vishwanath's remarkable achievement in transforming a 20-acre arid land in Palakkad into a thriving biodiverse agroforest farm.

Dr. Vishwanath, a medical sciences graduate from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, with a Master's in Public Health from The Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, embarked on a journey to find "natural preventive solutions" to health challenges. His insights into stress, pollution, chemical contaminants in food, and unhealthy habits led him to explore ancient Indian scriptures and various farming methods.

Combining the wisdom of Ayurveda, Vedic Farming, Rishi Krishi, Vrikshayurveda, and soil-enriching practices like Miyawaki, Dhabolkar, Permaculture, Pranic, Biodiverse, and Biodynamic farming with nature-friendly technologies, Dr. Vishwanath co-evolved the Athachi Trust Nature® initiative. This long-term solution aims to re-empower nature's regenerative potential, preserve biodiversity, and foster holistic, harmonious living.

The successful implementation of the Athachi Trust Nature initiative has transformed the once-barren 20-acre land in Elapully, Palakkad, into a sustainable, biodiverse agro-forest farm. Today, it stands as a testament to harmonious coexistence, where animals, birds, plants, and humans thrive together. The farm now yields a variety of potent botanicals, rare herbs, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and heirloom food crops of the finest quality in abundance.

Rotary District Governor N Sundaravadivelu praised Dr. Vishwanath's efforts, stating, "Dr. Vishwanath's passion beyond his profession to co-evolve the Trust Nature initiative has rekindled the regenerative power of soil, transformed the barren land into a biodiverse forest fostering harmonious living with nature, and has sowed the seeds to mitigate the impact of Climate Change."

This recognition highlights the importance of sustainable and nature-centric farming practices in addressing environmental challenges and promoting biodiversity. Dr. Vishwanath's innovative approach serves as an inspiration for future agricultural initiatives aimed at harmonizing human activities with nature.
