Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore district on October 16 due to scheduled maintenance work at three sub-stations. The affected sub-stations are Kalapatti, Keeranatham, and Pollachi, with power cuts planned from 9 AM to 5 PM.
In the Kalapatti sub-station area, the following locations will experience power disruptions: Cheran Managar, Nehru Nagar, Chitra, Valliyampalayam, K.R. Palayam, Vilankurichi, Thanneer Pandal, Peelamedu Industrial Estate, Sharp Nagar, and Maheswari Nagar.
Areas served by the Keeranatham sub-station that will face power cuts include Varadhaiyampalayam, Idigarai, Athipalayam, parts of Saravanampatti, Viswasapuram, Varuvaai Nagar, Karandumedu, parts of Vilankurichi, Sivanandapuram, and Sankara Veethi.
The Pollachi sub-station maintenance will affect a wider range of areas including Pollachi Town, Vadugapalayam, Chinnampalayam, Oonjevelampatti, Kanjampatti, Nattukalpalayam, Erippatti, Periyakavundanur, Alampalayam, Anupparpalayam, T. Kottampatti, Puliyampatti A.
