Car Catches Fire at Coimbatore Airport Entrance

A rental car parked near the entrance of Coimbatore International Airport caught fire on Tuesday, triggering brief panic within the airport premises. The fire was swiftly brought under control and no casualties were reported.


Coimbatore: A rental car parked near the entrance of Coimbatore International Airport caught fire on Tuesday, causing brief commotion in the area.



Upon noticing the blaze, taxi drivers and airport staff in the vicinity promptly initiated efforts to contain the fire.



Subsequently, a fire engine from the airport premises was rushed to the spot, and the flames were brought under control with the assistance of airport personnel.



The fire, which reportedly originated from the engine section of the car, was contained promptly, preventing it from spreading to nearby parked vehicles and averting any casualties.



The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
