Following the recent appointment of a new Superintendent of Police for the district, the transfer of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S. Ashok Kumar has signalled major administrative changes in the city police department.
Coimbatore: In the latest reshuffle of IPS officers in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore City Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S. Ashok Kumar has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Tenkasi district.
According to the orders issued by the Tamil Nadu Home Department today, several senior IPS officers and district Superintendents of Police have been transferred and posted to new assignments across the state.
The latest transfer comes shortly after A. Pawan Kumar Reddy was appointed as the new superintendent of Police for Coimbatore district, signalling significant administrative changes in the Coimbatore police department.
However, the Tamil Nadu government order has not yet announced who will take charge as the new DCP (Traffic) of Coimbatore City following IPS Officer Ashok Kumar’s transfer.
