Thamaraselvi, daughter of Palaniswamy, from Ottakalamandapam, recently committed suicide due to her +2 results. Thamaraselvi, who wrote her board examinations at a private school, expected a score of 1100. On receiving the results day before yesterday, she scored only 1088, falling 12 marks short of her expected score.
Thamaraselvi, grew depressed due to the results, and hung herself while nobody was at home. The Chettipalayam police has sent her body for postpartum to GH, Coimbatore. A case has also been filed and further investigations will be conducted. Her family and peers have been left in a grievous state ever since the tragic incident.
