In view of the proposed strike by the State Transport Employees tomorrow (15.05.2017), as requested by the Chairman, Transport Dept, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, an unreserved Special Train is being opertated by Southern Railway between Coimbatore and Chennai, tomorrow (15.0.2017).
After the first run on 15.05.2017, Train Nos.06072/06071 Coimbatore – Chennai Central - Coimbatore Unreserved Special Trains will be run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, i.e. except Mondays, until further advice.
These special trains will cater to a minimum of approximately 5,100 passengers per trip, in the Chennai – Coimbatore sector.
The train will be fully unreserved train and will consist of 15 General Second Class Coaches and 2 Luggage cum Brake Vans. The stoppages and timings of the 2 Unreserved Special Trains between Coimbatore and Chennai are as under:
