Anti-Child labour meeting held in Alanthurai


An Anti-Child Labour awareness meet was held in Alanthurai near Mettupalayam in which a large number of villgers took part. Presided over by Nambirajan, coordinator of National Child Labour Project, the meeting stressed on the need to send all children to school and was held under the moonlight.

District child labour monitoring cells are actively engaged in monitoring child labour and children who are forced into labour force at an early age lose out their precious childhood and they are psychologically affected.

There are many schemes to send back drop out children back to school, including Sarva shiksha Abhiyan, The public should get awareness on the child labor eradication and work to abolish child labour in their respective villages he said.
