Ward Councillor Inspects Fair Price Shop and Sanitation Works in Peelamedu

Ward Councillor Ambika Dhanabal of Peelamedu area inspected the fair price shop to verify proper distribution of food items and supervised ongoing sanitation works including roadside poster removal and drainage cleaning in public areas. The inspection aimed at ensuring quality service delivery to residents.


Coimbatore: Ward Councillor Ambika Dhanabal of Ward No. 27, North Zone, Coimbatore Corporation under Singanallur Assembly Constituency, conducted a detailed inspection of the fair price shop located on Peelamedu Murugan Koil Street today. During the inspection, the councillor thoroughly examined the stock position of essential commodities and the distribution procedures followed at the shop.






The councillor directly interacted with the public present at the shop to verify whether food items were being distributed as per government-prescribed quantities. She monitored the shop's operations to ensure that no irregularities were taking place in the fair price shop procedures and that citizens were receiving their entitled supplies properly.






On the same day, Councillor Ambika Dhanabal also supervised the removal of posters pasted on roadsides near Peelamedu Nav India Bus Stop. During this work, she instructed sanitation workers to clean the posters in a manner that would not obstruct vehicular movement and to immediately transport the removed posters without leaving them on the roadside.






Additionally, drainage silt removal work was carried out in the Peelamedu Rangammal Koil Street area today. Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited and inspected this work, ensuring that the silt accumulated in the drainage was completely removed. She provided necessary guidance to sanitation workers to prevent inconvenience to the public caused by drainage blockages and ensure smooth water flow in the area.
