Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Bamboo Park, Water Supply and Ukkadam Bus Stand Projects

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja conducted field inspections of the East Zone Bamboo Park, water supply facilities in Citra Airport area, and ongoing construction work at Central Zone Ukkadam Bus Stand, providing guidance to officials on project implementation and timelines.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja conducted comprehensive field inspections of various key infrastructure projects today (29.07.2026). The Commissioner personally visited the Bamboo Park located in the S.I.H.S. Colony area under Ward No.55 of the East Zone and carried out a detailed review of its maintenance operations.



Subsequently, Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja inspected the drinking water supply system in the Citra Airport and Poonga Nagar areas under Ward No.23 of the East Zone. He examined how water is being systematically distributed through pipelines from the overhead water storage tank. The Commissioner personally verified the functioning of water supply measurement equipment to ensure proper operations.

Following this, the Corporation Commissioner visited the ongoing construction work at the Ukkadam Bus Stand in the Central Zone and conducted a thorough inspection. He instructed officials to expedite the completion of these works.



During the inspection, several officials accompanied the Commissioner including Assistant Commissioner Dakshinamoorthy, Executive Engineer Yogasithra (Public Works), Assistant Executive Engineer Saravanakumar (Public Works), Councilors Maniyan and Dharmaraj, Assistant City Planner Srinivasan, Zonal Health Officers Gunasekaran and Chandran, Assistant Engineers Satheeshkumar, Muthukumar, Rajarajan, and Adhavan, along with other Corporation officials.

Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja's extensive inspection demonstrates the Corporation's commitment to improving the city's basic infrastructure facilities. Priority is being given to the enhancement of drinking water supply, public parks, and transportation facilities. The field visit underscores the administration's hands-on approach to monitoring civic projects and ensuring quality service delivery to citizens.

The inspection covered three critical areas of urban infrastructure - recreational facilities through the bamboo park, essential services through water supply systems, and public transportation infrastructure through the bus stand development. Officials were given clear directives to maintain quality standards and adhere to project timelines.
