Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS inspected the multi-level parking facility at RS Puram and road restoration works undertaken for the 24-hour water supply project in central zone areas, directing officials to expedite completion of pending works.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS today (25.08.2026) personally visited and inspected the multi-level four-wheeler parking facility in RS Puram, West Zone, and road restoration works undertaken for the 24-hour water supply project in central zone areas.

The Commissioner inspected the multi-level four-wheeler parking facility located on Diwan Bahadur Road in RS Puram, which falls under Ward No. 72 of the West Zone. He observed the operation of vehicles through the electrical lift system and monitored the functioning of parking facilities to ensure quality service delivery to the public.
Subsequently, he visited the Avinashi Flyover and LIC Road areas under Ward No. 83 of the Central Zone and monitored road restoration works on roads excavated for the 24-hour water supply project being executed by Suez Company. The Commissioner verified whether roads were being properly restored after completion of pipeline laying works.

The 24-hour water supply project is a major initiative being implemented across Coimbatore Corporation. New pipelines are being laid in various parts of the city for this purpose. Emphasizing the need to quickly restore roads after excavation for pipeline laying works, the Commissioner instructed concerned officials to expedite completion of the works.
During these inspections, Corporation Chief Engineer Vijayakumar, Assistant Commissioner Narmada, Executive Engineer Jegan, Assistant Executive Engineers Ezhil and Savitha, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan, Assistant Engineer Manjuladevi, and several other Corporation officials were present. The Commissioner continues to undertake monitoring works to ensure quality basic amenities are provided to the public.
