Singanallur police seized 1.25 kg of cannabis, 280 Tapentadol tablets and two mobile phones from Naveen (28) of Ammankulam and Subash (30) of Vellalore during a search operation near Irugur in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Acting on a narcotics tip-off, a team led by Sub-Inspector Dinesh Babu of the Singanallur police station conducted a search operation near Sundarambal Temple in Irugur, Coimbatore, on Tuesday.
During the operation, police found two men allegedly in possession of cannabis and prescription painkillers, which they were allegedly planning to sell to youngsters. Police seized 1.25 kg of cannabis, 280 Tapentadol tablets and two mobile phones from the duo, identified as Naveen (28) of Ammankulam in Ramanathapuram and Subash (30) of Moolakadai in Vellalore.
Inspector Arjun Kumar registered a case, following which both the accused were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
