Students set Guinness record by creating 1238 National Flags


The City is all set to celebrate the 70th Independence day on Monday. Various Government departments, NGO's, educational Institutions, Private Organisations are all busy with their final coordination works to pay tribute on the special day. 

Today, a Guinness world record was documented at the Hindusthan college of Arts & Science. Totally, 1238 students from diverse educational institutions across the city created 1238 National Flags using their finger imprints. 

The participants were given a piece of white cloth with the dimensions of 99 cm in length and 66 cm in breadth. Close to 1010 litres of emulsion was used to paint the cloth with the vibrant colours saffron, white and green using finger imprints. 

Members of Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, Indian Records of Academy, Tamilian Book of records were the adjudicators for the event. After due verification, the authorities accoladed them with Guinness certificates.
