District Collector N. Hariharan along with Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection S.Gopalakrishnan conducted an inspection at the Commodity Warehouse, Mettupalayam. The officials inspected stock and the quality of the goods that were set to be dispatched to the ration shops. The District Collector recommended the employees in the warehouse to return defective goods or low-quality goods to the officials and replace the stock with quality products.

The officials paid a sudden visit to a ration shop at Karanampalayam, the Civil Supplies Commissioner interacted with the public at the ration shop and inquired about the quality of the products distributed. The ration card entries, registers, log books, inventory and Aadhar Card registered were also monitored.

Other warehouses in Peelamedu, Kinathukadavu, Karumathampatti, Paaduvampalli which are under construction were also reviewed. Sub-Collector Priyanka, Venakatapriya DRO/SRM, District Civil Supplies Officer Ganeshamoorthy, Co-operative Society Sub Registrar Prabhu and various other Government Officials were also part of the inspection.
