Goldsmith commits suicide by consuming cyanide

Senthil, a goldsmith along with his wife Poorani and two children were residing at Selvapuram.

Senthil had received a jewel order from Veluchamy, who had given him gold bars worth Rs.2 lakhs for making of the jewels. Reports say,  both went on a scuffle,  as Senthil was unable to deliver the jewels on time.

The estranged conversation put Senthil in a state of dejection, who decided to end his life. He consumed cool drinks mixed with cyanide and gave the same to his childrens as well.

Senthil died on the spot and his childrens are undergoing critical treatment at the Government hospital. Such unforseen incidents have been reported frequently amongst goldsmiths, who deal with cyanide for jewellery making process.
