'Geekmatics' by KGISL Institute of Information Management

Geekmatics, a national level technical symposium was organised today by the MCA department of KGISL Institute of Information Management. 



The event was inaugurated by Senthil Krishnasamy, CEO of Logic Version Computer Corporation in the presence of Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr.Vijaya. The Chief Guest, Senthil Krishnasamy in his inaugural address expressed his gratitude to Chairman of KGISL, Ashok Bakthavatchalam for creating a paradigm shift from textiles to IT and enabling to bridge the gap between Industry and Academics.



More than 400 students from various educational institutions have enrolled to participate competitions like paper presentation, face painting, Software testing, Debugging, Technical quiz, Network Gaming, Web Designing and Geekadz.



D. Kavitha, Head of the department, MCA, detailed on the concept of Geekmatics. The word Geek represents intellectual and this symposium. The event aims at bringing out the intellectual thinking among the students. The department of MCA has been conducting the event annually and around 400 students register for the event.

The event will be concluded with a valedictory function by, Dr.R.Ravichandran, Director KGISL Educational Institutions, who will distribute the prizes to the winners and participation certificates.
