RDO to probe death of newly-wed girl

Namanchand and Jeetmol, residents of R.S. Puram, had recently got their daughter, Priyanka Maloop married to Naresh, a trader from Orissa.

After the wedding, Priyanka was residing in Orissa with her husband and his family. On 16th August Priyanka came to Coimbatore to visit her parents. Since her visit, she was seen very depressed and confused, reports say.

On 19th August, Priyanka committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills. Her parents rushed her to a near-by private hospital and was declared to be in a very critical state on admission.

Yesterday night, unexpectedly Priyanka passed away, as her condition became critical. Since, the period of marriage is less than a year, the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) have registered a case to probe the exact reason behind her suicide.
