Sri Ramakrishnan insitute of technology to conduct exhibition for final year students

Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Pachapalayam, will be conducting a regional level project exhibition called 'SRIT Explore 2016' for final year students of polytechnic colleges from February 24 to 26. Principal of SRIT, M Paulraj, will inaugurate the event.

Founders Day to be held: Dr Dasarathan International School will celebrate its 6th Founders Day on February 25 on the school campus from 4.30pm. The Governor of Tamil Nadu, K Rosaiah will be the chief guest.

Education fair organized: IDP Education India, a student placement service provider, organized IDP's UK, USA, Canada and New Zealand education fair in Coimbatore on Tuesday at Hotel Residency Tower, Avinashi Road from 2pm to 6pm for students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad. The fair had representatives and faculties from the UK who came together to meet Indian students aspiring to study in their countries. Applications were open to over 150 leading IDP partner universities and institutions in the UK, USA, New Zealand and Canada for 2016 intakes for several courses.

Man ends life: A power loom owner committed suicide by consuming cow dung powder on Monday. K Kuppuraj, 70, a resident of Neelikonampalayam, was found in unconscious state in his house and was taken to CMCH for treatment where he was declared dead. His family members said Kuppuraj owned a powerloom unit and due to some financial issues, the unit had to be shut down and he hasn't opened it for over a month. This had upset him and he might have killed himself over this.
