It was a very special morning at the SPI cinemas, Brookfield Mall, as 250 plus visually challenged people were invited to watch the blockbuster 'Kabali'. This laudable initiative was organised by Radio Mirchi.

More than 250 visually challenged people, from the National Federation for the Blind from Podanur, Thondamuthur, Vadavalli and few students from local Orphanages viewed the movie.

Previously, only art-related and award-winning films were screened for the visually challenged. The initiative of screening a commercial block buster movie for the visually impaired was kick started in Chennai followed by Coimbatore.
The viewers listened to the BGM and the dialogues of the movie, which helped them to understand the script and the situations of the scenes. At places void of music, there was a translation provided for the audience explaining the scene, the expressions by the artists and the situation.

The transport facilities were provided by the Park Institutions Group of Institutions, who picked and dropped them to their respective centres. Snacks and beverages were provided by Comfort Hotels, RS Puram.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the movie and expressed their gratitude to Radio Mirchi for their love and care towards visually impaired people.
