State level volleyball trophy: SRM strikes back, SKASC won the runner-up


Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), Coimbatore won the runner-up in the 14th Kamarajar Memorial Volleyball State level Trophy organized by Madurai Nadar Mahajana Sangam at S.Vellaichamy Nadar College. 

Around 8 colleges and universities, SRM and Gandhigram Rural Universities, Chennai Vaishnava, Presidency, Sivakasi Ayya Nadar, Madurai Vellaichamy Nadar, Coimbatore Sri Krishna Arts and Pollachi STC Colleges participated in the tournament.



SRM University and SKASC were the finalists, SRM University secured the Championship Trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 17,000 and retained the title for the consecutive 14 years. Sri Krishna College was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 11,000/- for the runner-up and third position was secured by Pollachi STC with a Rs.7,000/- as cash prize. The trophies and prizes were distributed by Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, Madurai, General Manager M.Gunasekaran along with Dr. Merrys.T. Mahendravel, Vice President, S.Vellaichamy Nadar College.

Sri Krishna Institution's Chairperson and Managing Trustee S.Malarvizhi, CEO Dr.K.Sundararaman, Principal Dr.P.Babagnanakumar, Physical Education Director Saravanan appreciated the SKASC volleyball team for their performance and the runner-up trophy.
