'Isha should not be involved' says TPDK


The activists of Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam today raised their opposition against the decision of the Vellalore Panchayat to hand over the maintenance of the electrical crematorium at Vellalore to Isha yoga center. 

The electrical crematorium at Vellalore was renovated from the funds of panchayat costing to 1.60 crores. The Local body authorities have decided to hand over the crematorium to Isha yoga center for maintenance. The TPDK has condemned this move, as Isha foundation is a religious entity, hence the people belonging to other religions and atheists would not prefer using the crematorium.

They also evoked on the unresolved allegations against Isha in the past and in recent times. The activists staged a protest at the Muncipality office, Vellalore, the police arrested the protestors and cleared the situation.
