Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women today inaugurated a 'Health Club' at their College Campus. Dr.P.Sukumaran Dean Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in the presence of Dr.K.Chitra Principal and Mrs.Chitra, HOD department of Biochemistry, inaugurated the club.

Dr.K.Chitra, Principal, in her address, appreciated the department of biochemistry for coming up with this initiative. 'Nowadays, health is mostly neglected by the youngsters, whenever they encounter with health issues they attend to it. But that should not be the case, students should spend at least 4-5 hrs every week focussing on health by practicing yoga, exercising, walking and meditation. 'Zero' size doesn't imply being healthy, being active, productive and immune vouches for being in a healthy state' she said.

Dr.K.Sukumaran, Dean of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital addressed the students regarding healthy living and practising good healthy habits. He remarked that it's the very first time a health club is being inaugurated in a college. He advised the students to regularly use the health club, organize special sessions, lectures by experts on health, exercise routines, healthy food to be consumed, importance of mental wellbeing, Sleep and Hygiene. He also installed the office bearers of the health club.
