Parents urge action against doctor for their son's death

Deepak (4), son of Murugan, a construction worker from Velandipalayam died in the month of May 2016 allegedly due to medical negligence.

On May 9th, Deepak suffered with ear pain and was taken to Paavai hospital, Saibaba Colony for consultation. During the treatment, shockingly Deepak died. His parents alleged that their child died due to negligent treatment of Dr. Elangovan of Paavai hospital. But no action was initiated aginst the doctor, till date.

Today, the victim's parents along with members of Indian Communist party demonstrated a protest in front of the South Taluk Office, condemning the doctor's negligence. 



James, Secretary (West) communist party stated to the press that 'It's four months since the incident happened but till date no action has been taken in this case. Dr. Elangovan is still practicing at the hospital. Hence, we stand with the parents of the victim demanding justice. Stringent action should be initiated against the doctor and the family of Deepak should be compensated duly'.
