Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management, Coimbatore (SVPISTM) Student Activity Cell (SAC), had organized a ONAM UTSAV celebration, today at their college.
Shri S. Shanmugam, Founder and Chairman, United Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the Guests of Honour of the function. The function was presided over by Dr.C.Ramesh Kumar, Director Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management, Coimbatore and Dr.S.Perumalsamy, Dean-Academics. Dr.C.Rameshkumar, Director welcomed the gathering briefed about the function. Dr. S. Perumalsamy, Dean-Academics felicitated the gathering.
Students organized several competitions like Rangoli, Face painting, Mehandi, Bowled out, Physique freak and blind fold to explore the talents of students. The celebrations started with Onam dance of ‘Thiruvathirai’ followed by various cultural programmes presented by students. The entry of Mahabali and Kathakali performances was a real visual treat to the audience.
Prizes were distributed to the winners and participants. Overall, the function was a grand success with active participation of the students and motivation of the faculty members.
