Riots break out in Bangalore over on-going cauvery issue

The Karnataka state government has declared a 144 in Bangalore after the agitation on the Cauvery issue has intensified throughout the state. In districts of Mandya, Mysore, Hosur and Bangalore, the violators have been brutally attacking all Tamil Nadu registration vehicles and setting them on fire.







An emergency holiday has been declared for all educational institutions and IT organisations.. All commercial establishments have pulled down their shutters due to the commotion. The traffic has halted at most places in the city and the suburbs of Bangalore.



People who witnessed the protests are struck in panic and awaiting safe return of their family members. The mobility between the two states through road has come to a total shut down. However, the City police of Bangalore has reported that the situation is under control and advised people to be aware of the bogus news spreading through the social networking sites on the riots.
