A twin aortic valve block surgery was successfully performed on a 7-year-old at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital.
Kaleeswari (7) was diagnosed with Twin Congenital Heart disease at an age of one. Since then, she was been suffering from ailments which became severe during recent times. She was referred to Sri Ramakrishna Hospital for evaluation and treatment options. Dr. Devaprasath, Paediatric Cardiologist decided to carry out 'Interventional Cardiac Catherization -Key Hole procedure' a minimally invasive technique.
On 10th September, the procedure was carried out with the help of Rotary Club Saicity, who took care of the financial costs associated with the procedure. Using state-of-art technology, the operation was successfully accomplished and the child is presently recovering well.
Dr. Devi Prasath, Chief Paediatric Cardiologist has stated that 'It was a tough procedure and was done without any complications. On 10th September, 1 pm, I completed the twin procedure on the kid.
