Competitions for students, as part of Wildlife week celebrations


Every year the first week of October is celebrated as Wildlife week. This year, it is planned to celebrate the wildlife week and by involving the School and College students. The following competitions have been planned for the students to create socio-environmental responsibility amongst the youngsters.

1. A quiz programme on Forests and Wildlife for all students on 18.09.2016.

2. Drawing competition with the themes Wildlife and Nature on 18.09.2016 at Forestry Training College between 9am and 11.30am. Participants should bring the required materials for the drawing competition.

3. A oratorial competition will be held at the Tamilnadu Wildlife Training center for college students and schools students from 9th standard to 12th standard. The topics for the competition are Long live forests for the school students and Contribution of students in conserving forests for college students. Students can either speak in English or Tamil.

Students, who are secure first place will be sent to the state level competition. In each competition, two students are allowed to participate from each school. Students should register before 8'o clock, on the day of competition at the competition venue.
