Man detained for deceiving youth with fake job promises

Ajithkumar (25) who had been involved in luring unemployed youngsters of getting jobs abroad was arrested by the Police, after several victims raise complaint and proof of fraud.

Shanthakumar (27) an unemployed ITI graduate from Veerapandi, had approached Ajithkumar, who operates a job agency at Pappanaickenpalayam. Shanthakumar has paid Rs. 25,000/- towards 100% job placement abroad. Even after several follow-ups, Shanthakumar was not provided with a job, as promised.

Hence, infuriated and distressed by the betrayal, Shanthakumar along with 10 others who faced similar betrayal, approached the City Crime branch and registered a complaint against the Ajithkumar's fraudulent intent with proof of payment. On investigation, it was revealed that Ajith has deceived close to 4.5 lakhs of money through fake job promises. The police arrested the fraudster and remanded him.
