Yesterday night, a Hindu Munani leader was brutally assaulted and killed by some unidentified persons at Subramaniapalayam, Near GN Mills.
Sasikumar, is the Spokesperson of the party in Coimbatore District. Sources say, he was brutally attacked by 4 unidentified persons with lethal weapons. This condemnable act happened at around 10:30pm while he was returning to his home. He was taken to KG Hospital in a very critical state, unfortunately, he passed away in the hospital.

Since, the death news broke out, the members of the party have been very agitated and have been involved in various protests around the City. Buses have been targeted at some places and some of the private schools have declared an emergency holiday.
The police have beefed up the security measures to avoid unforeseen incidents.
The party has called for an emergency statewide bandh to condemn the attacks on it's party members.

However, the party members at Coimbatore staged a protest at the Cross cut road a couple of days back, condemning the attacks on their party members at Dindigul, Tirupur, Karur and urging the police department to necessitate immediate action to arrest the offenders. More than 140 protestors were arrested on the same day.
