Cops shuffled in connection with the upcoming local body elections


With the announcement of the election dates, the electoral code of conduct proposed by TN Election Commission has come into action. The guidelines proclaimed under the 'Code of Conduct' should be adhered by the entities and the offcials, mandatorily. 

With a less than a month to go, state-wide orders have been passed to shuffle and transfer the police personnels. In Coimbatore, the police personnel who were transferred during the assembly elections in May 2016 were re-transferred again. 

Peelamedu Inspector Gopi was transferred to R.S. Puram - B2 Police Station, and Sri Ramachandran was transferred to Ukkadam Station along with 12 others who were transferred to other stations and Special Crime Branch. 

It is expected that more transfers of offcials could be initiated, shortly.
