BL candidates of 1996-97 batch can appear for arrears, applications called for by Bharathiar University


Bharathiar University has announced that the arrear candidates of B.L. (Law) 3 & 5 year degree courses (for up to the academic year 1996-97 batches of admission & formerly affiliated college offered courses under Bharathiar University) are permitted to complete their arrear subjects during November/December 2016 and April/May 2017 examinations with the same syllabus.

The application forms for November/December 2016 examinations to appear for the BL (Law) 3 & 5 year degree course of arrear candidates can be had either in person or by post from the concerned College Principal or the office of the Controller of Examinations at this University from 16th September 2016 by enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope (28 cm x 13 cm) for Rs. 10/- with a requisition specifying course, year of admission & register number. 

The arrear candidates shall send the duly filled-in applications directly to the Controller of Examinations. Bharathiar University along with necessary fees after obtaining the signature of the Principal in the application. The examination fee for Rs.1000/- per theory paper, cost of application Rs.50/- & statement of marks Rs.100/-. The fees shall be paid in the form of demand draft in favor of “The Registrar, Bharathiar University” payable at Coimbatore.

The last date for receipt of filled-in applications with necessary fees should be submitted to the the office of the Controller of Examinations, Bharathiar University on or before 24th October (without fine), on or before 31st October, 2016 (with fine of Rs. 100/-) 




Applications received after the last dates and incomplete applications will be rejected.




However, the candidates should submit an undertaking that they would complete their arrear subjects within November 2016 and May 2017 University examinations and would seek no further extension in this regard. These are last chances for the arrear candidates and no further extension will be given after the April-May 2017 examinations. Hence, the candidates are advised to make use of this opportunity provided by the University.

In due course the detailed written time-table will be informed to the Principal, Govt. Law College, Coimbatore and the candidates are directed to contact with college and also available in the University website (www.b-u.ac.in).
