Electronic Voting machines reach Coimbatore


Around 1620 Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and 1420 Control Units arrived here today for the upcoming local body elections scheduled on 17th  and 19th October, 2016.



The EVMs and Control Units have been kept in safe custody at the SRP Ammaniammal School, RS Puram. Corporation Commissioner Vijaya Karthikeyan carried out the preliminary testing today and confirmed the operation of the machines and the control units. Deputy Corporation Commissioner P. Gandhimathi and all District Election Officers were present during the first level checking.
