The long-pending plea of the tribal people of Muttathuvayal, Savakadu. Mattathukadu, Padakadu and Kulatheri has been to allot them with lands for building houses. Today, during the protest they jointly alleged that Isha Foundation has been trying to encroach the 43 acres of squatter land near Muttathuvayal Village by installing fences and ear marking the land.
Hence, they staged a sit-in-protest at the Muthathuvayal checkpost (enroute to Isha) demanding fair allotment of land and to safeguard the 43 acres of land from Isha Foundation. The Alandurai Police pacified the people and promised to help them convene a meeting with the concerned officials, shortly.
