Police instructs printing press owners to refrain from printing inflammatory material


Following the recent violence in the city, post the murder of Hindu Munnani functionary C Sasikumar the city police has instructed printers and printing press owners to refrain from printing inflammatory material that can disturb the law and order in the city.

A meeting with the printers and printing press owners was called for in the city yesterday. Printers and printing press owners were instructed to share details, with the nearest police station, about people who approach them to print posters and notices which contain information that may initiate violence in the city.



The city police also added that stringent action will be taken on printers and printing press owners who do not cooperate with the police in this regard. Printers and printing press owners who attended the meeting assured that they will cooperate with the police department in this regard.
