NGO OSAI works towards preserving and protecting the environment and our wildlife. In order to spread awareness about wildlife, this NGO has initiated a wildlife photography exhibition. Called Uyir Nizhal 2016, this exhibition was inaugurated at the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) this morning.


This is the 13th consecutive year that OSAI is hosting this photography exhibition. The exhibition has on display the best of wildlife captured on lenses. Photographs of rare species of birds, mammals, butterflies and insect that are shot aesthetically have been displayed at the venue.
Kalaidasan founder of NGO OSAI speaking to SimpliCity shared that


“OSAI has been successfully organizing this photography exhibition for several years now. This time about 2,500 photographs are on display at this edition. The main aim of this exhibition is to make the younger generation aware about forest and wildlife and its importance. On display are images that have been captured by renowned wildlife photographers from across the country.” Kalaidasan says. At this exhibition there is a kiosk that educates visitors about the Western Ghats.


Members of OSAI were present in full strength. Also present were District Forest Officer (DFO) Ramasubramaniam and Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) Dr.Ramasamy were also present at Uyir Nizhal 2016.
