Around 10-lakhs cash stolen from a courier office

A courier company that serves the domestic and international market has its office on the Ukkadam bypass road. Last night, only one employee was working at this office. Around midnight, some unidentified persons visited this office. It is reported that the gang tied the employee to a chair and reportedly walked away with Rs.9.50 lakhs from this office.



Balaji, manager of the courier company lodged a complaint with the police about the incident. Puliyakulam police have registered a case and are investigating this matter. Police commissioner Lakshmi visited the crime scene and conducted an enquiry.



Fingerprint experts recorded the fingerprints from the crime scene. Police are also taking a closer at the CCTV footage that is obtained from the courier office for clues.
