SDPI demand constitution of Cauvery Management Board

Members of the Coimbatore Chapter of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) party today staged a protest in front of BSNL office that is located near the Coimbatore collectorate. This protest was held condemning the Central government for failing to constitute the Cauvery Management Board. It has been reported that in several parts of our state protests in this regard are being held.



One of the protestors claimed that the BJP government is delaying the constitution of Cauvery Management Board in view of the Karnataka assembly elections. The protestor who did not wish to be named added that this is against the interests of Tamil Nadu. He added that protests will continue until the Cauvery Management Board is constituted by the central government.

Police arrested 43 of the protestors.
