Coimbatore collector has invited applications from eligible candidates for Ambedkar Award 2016. This award will be presented on the Thiruvalluvar Day in January the following year. A press release stated that individuals must send their applications along with details of the social work and contributions towards uplifting people from the oppressed section of the society for the last decade. Applications forms for the Ambedkar Award 2016 are available at the Adi-Dravidar and Tribal office. Last date to receive completed applications is 25 October.
