Department of Nanoscience Technology, BU hosts three day national conference

In order to bridge the institution and industry gap, the Department of Nanoscience Technology Bharathiar University (BU) hosted a three day national level conference. This conference was hosted in partnership with the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (SBAO). This three day conference was inaugurated today aims at bringing together academicians, medical professionals and scholars in this field. This conference is hosted at the Bharathiar University was inaugurated by Dr. A. Ganapathi, Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University.



Dr S Raja Sabapathy, Chairman, Department of Plastic Surgery, Hand and Microsurgery and Burns, Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, delivered the inaugural address. “India is capable of producing not only quality products but also low cost efficient ones. For an example the intra ocular lenses developed by Aravind Hospitals are not only world class but also easily affordable to common man.” Dr S Raja Sabapathy said. He further added that the three As namely Affordability, Availability and Ability of surgeons to transplant is the way ahead for research and development and innovations in this field.

In the next two days of this conference notable speakers and research scholars from across the country will present their research paper on various subjects related to nano-science technology.
