A lone female elephant which was found ill two days before underwent treatment by veterinarians from the forest department. This tusker was given medicines and fed with sugarcane, bananas, rice, jiggery and apple. This sick elephant that was found near Periya Tahadagam is retreated into the forest with the help of forest department officials. Kumki Pari and an earth mover helped this elephant stand back on its feet. Doctors Jayanthi and Manohar treated this 30-year old elephant.
