1.5 kg of ganja seized in Race course

The Ramanthapuram police seized close to 1kg and 500gm worth of ganja from two persons here on Sunday.

Upon receiving a tip-off regarding trade of ganja at Race course, the Ramanathapuram police formed a special team headed by sub-inspector Anbarasan. Yesterday, while patrolling at the Race course area the cops identified two persons with suspicious activity. On interrogation, they were identified as Antony (27) and Manojkumar (24) from Puliakulam and were in possession of 1.5kgs of ganja and cash worth Rs. 6500. 

The police seized the ganja and the cash and arrested them under the Narcotic and psychotropic substances act, 1985.
