Senior citizen dies under the wheels of TNSTC bus in Varadharajapuram

N. Govindaraj (70) from Peelamedu was riding his two-wheeler on Kamarajar road in Varadharajapuram. He was hit by Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited (TNSTC) bus. It was reported that Govindaraj died on the spot. Upon getting news of the accident, Inspector V. VIjayakumari rushed to the location. The victim’s body was sent to Government Hospital (GH) where he was declared dead on arrival. The body of the deceased was handed over to his family after the post mortem was done.

Sources share that Govindaraj was on his way to purchase medicines on his two-wheeler. He was hit by the TNSTC bus and he came under the wheels of this bus. At the time of this accident, S.Ramkumar (29) was at the wheels of the TNSTC bus.

A case has been registered against the bus driver and investigation is on.
