The Times of India hosted the Education Award function yesterday at Chennai to honor the pioneers in education in Tamilnadu. The best educational entrepreneur and educationalist were identified across Tamilnadu and were honored at this function. The Tamilnadu School Education, Archaeology, Youth and Sports Development Minister K. Pandiayarajan was the Chief Guest and gave away the awards to the educationalist.

S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Sri Krishna Institutions, Coimbatore was identified for her exemplary commitment and impactful positive contribution to the education. She was recognized and was awarded for her contributions towards education, changes brought in the education system, her leadership, motivating the teaching and student’s fraternity, able administration, creating good conducive environment for students and faculty’s development, providing and arranging placements to the students, various awards, recognitions, and honors received from the various organizations.

Anand Moorthy, TOI Asst. Vice-President and Response Team Head, Chennai, Mei-Kwei Barker, Director, South India British Council, Dr. M. S. Shyamsundar, Advisor, NAAC were present during the award ceremony.
