'Lakshmi Vilas Bank celebrates its Anniversary'


Lakshmi Vilas Bank, one of the fastest growing new generation private sector banks celebrated its 90th Anniversary in Chennai. Keeping the past tradition in mind, the day-long celebration is extended also to the city of Karur in Tamil Nadu, where the bank had its origins. All branches and offices of the Bank also celebrated the day in a befitting manner. The prime focus and the key message of the bank on this occasion is ‘customer centric’.

On the completion of 90 years of banking service in India, the Lakshmi Vilas bank organized a glittering function in Chennai which was attended by valued customers of the bank, dignitaries from financial institutions and corporate establishments. 

The bank has always taken pride in the fact that it is a human-centric Bank and committed to bettering the society through its various Corporate Social Responsibility activities. On this remarkable occasion the bank has celebrated the Diwali festival along with the deprived community covering all its regions (90 spots per region) under CSR.

The Managing Director & CEO Mr. Parthasarathi Mukherjee in his message thanked profoundly the customers of the bank for their continuous support over all these years. He has expressed deep gratitude to the Founders, Share Holders and Regulators for their Valuable support and guidance. He has also thanked the dedicated Workforce for their efforts to establish the Bank as a leading new age private sector bank striving to deliver value to all its stakeholders.

 

Mr. P. Mukherjee further said, “Through our branches, we offer, in addition to our traditional banking products, a host of para-banking products in association with Life and General Insurance companies, mutual funds, stock broking houses, money transfer/ remittance companies, etc and have become the one stop shop for all the financial and banking needs of our customers".

 

He further added, "The Bank has witnessed a substantial improvement across all business parameters in the recent past. With continuous investments in technology, all of our services are offered on a robust technologically advanced platform. We will continue to invest in growth, build new relationships, hire more people, develop new products and build on our position as one of India’s leading banks".

 

On this occasion, Dr. P.J. Nayak, Ex-CEO of Axis Bank delivered the keynote address in the form of the first Sri V.S.N. Ramalinga Chettiar Memorial oration paying tribute to the Chief Founder of Lakshmi Vilas Bank. Delivering the oration Dr. Nayak dwelt on “Banking on Innovation” stressing on the need for all Banks to constantly innovate so as to remain relevant in the fast changing banking environment. 

 

One of the USPs of the Bank is the trust that different generations of customers have consistently reposed in the Bank. There are several such customers of the bank where different generations in the same family have banked only with LVB. On this occasion, the Bank has felicitated several such customers to emphasize on this USP. 

 

An entertainment programme involving the noted singer Usha Uthup arranged on the occasion enthralled the audience.
