Coimbatore Court awards life imprisonment to five accused of murder case.

It may be recalled that in 2012 enmity between the members of two gangs resulted in assault and murder at a TASMAC centre in Kavundampalayam.

Nagendran, Veeran, Viji, Mani, Santhosh, Rajan and Senthil attacked Perumal and Srinivas of the rival gang on 7th October, 2012. Perumal was declared dead on the spot while Srinivas was rushed to the Government hospital with serious injuries. Subsequently, all the seven people who were involved in the murder were arrested by the Thudiyalur police.

This case came up for final hearing at a District Judicial Court No:3. The Magistrate sentenced five of the seven accused with life imprisonment. No charges were framed against Senthil and Mani as there was enough no evidence to prove their involvement in the murder.

The court complex witnessed tense moments as the judge pronounced life imprisonment for all the five victims in a single case.
