Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan scheme a mass cleanup activity was conducted today at the Variety Hall (VH) road slum where a large population of the corporation sanitary workers live. The area sports a nice look post the cleanup drive. Corporation Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner visited the slum for inspection today. About 20 corporation workers were deployed in this exercise in which the drainages and the garbage were thoroughly cleaned. Construction of community toilets in this vicinity is also on the cards.
