This morning S Sarojam, Malayalam writer and retired Deputy Secretary declared open an art exhibition and sale called ‘Bark’ at Kasthuri Sreenivasan Art Gallery, Avinashi Road.
This exhibition presented about 30 paintings created by artist A M Joy. Like its name suggests, this exhibition had on display paintings of barks of various trees. The artist describes that 'what skin is to a human being, so is a bark to its tree'. Such is the importance of a bark and thus artist A M Joy presented a glimpse of barks through his paintings.
Bark exhibition and sale is the 6th painting exhibition that is organized by Kasthuri Sreenivasan Art Gallery as a part of its 'Impressionist 2016' series. This exhibition will conclude on 22nd November 2016. Entry to this exhibition is free, with visiting hours from 10 am to 6.30 pm on all days.
