1162 unauthorized hoardings removed by CCMC


Since 16th October 2016, hoardings and advertisements boards placed at unapproved places are been removed in the city by the City Corporation. Repeated warnings and notices have been served to the owners to remove the hoardings as legal approvals have not been sought for the same. 

Upon instructions from Special Officer, Vijayakarthikeyan, the officials deputed by the CCMC are on a spree of clearing up all hoardings and flex boards in the city at unapproved sites.

Speaking on this Special Officer shares that 'Starting from 16th October 2016 till date, we have removed 1162 hoardings in the city. Today on 19th November, 55 boards in the West zone, 5 boards in the North and 14 in the Central zone are been removed. The remaining hoardings that are ear-marked will be removed shortly'.
