The sanitary workers of the Coimbatore Corporation today sprayed the Abate mosquito killer in Pioneer Mill Road in Peelamedu which comes under the 38th ward of the Coimbatore Corporation. Corporation workers also removed all unwanted objects from this area to control mosquito breeding.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan inspected the works. He also inspected the work of segregation of waste by the sanitary workers and also the functioning of the Corporation health centre that is built at the CMC colony for the cost of Rs.58 lakhs.

The commissioner also inspected the recently recovered land which was encroached at the Bharathi colony in Peelamedu. Corporation assistant commissioner P. Gandhimathi, Assistant commissioner Saravanakumar, Assistant Town Planning officer Jayalakshmi and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
