Arjun Sampath leader of Hindu Makkal Katchi (Hindu People's Party), has sought action against officials of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) and The Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) for their involvement in exchanging currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 for lower denomination currency, for a commission.
